Confirmed that I can boot to either OSX on the raid, to OSX on the ATA or Windows on the ATA without any problems since. The redesigned MacDrive is even easier to use. To my surprise it booted up fine and worked. Simply booted up to windows by holding the option key upon start up. Reinstalled ATA drive with 2nd OSX and Windows partitions back to where it was as a slave.ġ0. Confirmed original raid/OSX up and running fine.ĩ. (So now we are back where we started with the Mac Pro Raid Card setup)Ĩ. (So far standard BootCamp setup - no wizardary here). Partitioned with BootCamp and installed Windows on it.

Attached an ATA drive as a slave to the optical drive.ĥ. (At this point we just have a standard MacPro setup without raid card)ģ. Reconnected ipass cable from raid card back to motherboard. Removed the drives and raid card and put aside safely.Ģ. Starting with a MacPro with Apple RAID card configured with 4 750GB drives in RAID10 this is what I did:ġ. Sorry Alain - Looks like I beat you to it mate ? Well, I didn't expect this to happen but I have a solution that works solidly (and the funny thing is I wasn't even looking for it as I just wanted to benchmark Windows on my MacPro as I have decided to purchase a dedicated MacPro for Vista anyhow).
